DENDROLOGY

Dendrology is the study of characteristics of trees and other plant species. The size and variation of land in the Opequon Creek watershed lends itself to so very beautiful, dangerous, and interesting trees and plants. The slides below highlight some of them. There are many more than what is shown below, however it is a great starting point and can help to identify a few of the more dangerous plants. that one might encounter in the area. Personally, I would love to be able to identify poison ivy very quickly so as to not put my body parts in it.
